I AGREE.
WE have become a hot mess when it comes to stability and consistency.
One of the big problems in America today is that Americans want INSTANT solutions from their government to solve all their problems, BUT AT THE SAME TIME TO STAY OUT OF EVERYONE'S WAY. Rugged individualism really doesn't work if you want a government big enough to solve all your problems.
IF WE THE PEOPLE are inconsistent in our demands, how can we expect any less of our elected officials who normally already have a problem with being consistent, and faithful to American ideals.
