THOUGHTS #2: LOVE & PAIRINGS

   LOVE...

WHAT IS IT?

How do we know what Love is, if we have never seen it?

How do kids know what Love is if it isn't practiced in their home?

Love isn't perfect, but when it is done right it IS 
imperfection applied in an environment of mutual caring 
and respect. 

LOVE IS: ACCEPTANCE.

Love is looking at you, me, Muslims, blacks, Christians, Jews, women, men, Gay & Straight...and saying...

I love you for you are just like me, a human being...who deserves to be treated equally  with respect & dignity.

LOVE IS: NOISY

Love is speaking out and RIGHT BACK noisy and proud AGAINST every uttering that voices discrimination, bigotry, prejudice, HATE...in EVERY WAY, EVERY TIME, WITHOUT EQUIVOCATION OR HESITATION.

LOVE STAMPS OUT HATE,

EVERYWHERE, EVERY TIME, WITHOUT PAUSE. 
For every time it does not, 



HATE gets a greater foothold and NOTHING is more detrimental to a free society than hatred among its adherents FOR others. 

JUST BECAUSE someone is a different color, or orientation, or gender, or ethnicity...DOES NOT MEAN YOU 
have a license to practice hate/bigotry/discrimination, NOT in a free progressive uplifting society.

LOVE LIFTS ALL BOATS,

NOT JUST the ones which float on massive wealth or 
social prominence 
or connections/cronyisms.

Are you heterosexual?

Great. Be that. WITHOUT MY SEEKING TO DISCRIMINATE AGAINST YOU because you are. 
So why do you think you can do that 
to me because I am homosexual and it's alright? Uh Uh. NOPE!

Are you a woman? Great. You didn't choose that. How can I berate you for being something you didn't decide 
for yourself? EVEN IF YOU DID, and went through the arduous process of change, I still have no right to judge you. Rather, I should admire you for the bravery and the courage and determination to change to BE WHO YOU REALLY ARE.
That ain't easy. It's true that some people will never accept transgender but not me. Who am I to judge you?

Are you African-American, Jamaican, Egyptian? FANTASTIC. So, when did you decide to become that? WHAT?

YOU DIDN'T? Oh...so then it was decided by genetics?  Your family DNA? KEWL. Funny, I am caucasian for the same reason.

WELCOME TO THE HUMAN RACE.

THE HUMAN RACE SHOULD  NEVER BE CONSIDERED A RACE...

TO THE BOTTOM!

BECAUSE IT IS MEANT TO BE...
a race to
THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN, 
where we can relax and treasure 
each other.

PERIOD.

LOVE IS:

INCLUSION OF AND 
APPRECIATION FOR...
ALL OF US HUMAN BEINGS.

LOVE IS NEVER HAVING TO APOLOGIZE FOR OUR GENDER, ETHNICITY, ORIENTATION, OR CULTURAL BACKGROUND. 
NOR OUR ECONOMIC STATUS. 

LOVE IS: THE MOST IMPORTANT ELEMENT OF HUMANITY...
TREASURE IT!

FOR IF WE DON'T VALUE LOVE, WE WILL ALLOW HATE TO WIN. THAT WILL SIGNAL THE END OF OUR HUMANITY.

Not a good idea!

LOVE IS ACCEPTANCE OF ALL OF US WHO LOVE AND WHOM.

WITHOUT THAT, WE FAIL...
and I believe God will NOT 
be pleased. EVER. 

GOD IS LOVE, NOT HATE.

If you hate anyone for 
who they are, 
I will miss you when the votes are counted IN HEAVEN. Or maybe not miss you exactly, just not be seeing you.
